Ingredients
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup warm water
2 packages dry active yeast
1 egg
4 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions
Scald milk, stir in sugar, salt & butter, then cool to lukewarm.
Sprinkle yeast into warm water in a large warm bowl, stirring until dissolved.
Stir in lukewarm milk mixture, egg and half of the flour, beating until smooth.
Stir in remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
Cover tightly and refrigerate dough at least 2 hours to a maximum of 3 days.

To use, cut off amount needed and shape as desired.
