Mary Henderson Mississippi Mud Cake

Ingredients
2 cups sugar
1 cup cooking oil
4 eggs
1-1/2 cup "plain" flour
1/3 cup cocoa
3 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup chopped nuts (pecans, walnuts, etc.)
1/4 tsp salt
Miniature marshmallows (optional)

Instructions
Cream sugar and cooking oil.
Add eggs to sugar mixture and "heat".
Sift dry ingredients together and add to sugar mixture.
Stir in vanilla and nuts.
Grease and flour pan
Bake for 35-45 minutes at "350" degrees
Add marshmallows 5 minutes before finished.

Frosting
Melt 2 sticks butter.
Add 1/3 cup cocoa, 1 box confectionary sugar, 1 cup nuts, 1/2 cup milk and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Stir together.
Spread on cooled cake.
