Carmel Corn

This is a great tasting holiday treat, messy but oh so good!

Ingredients -
2 cups light brown sugar
1/2 cup light corn syrup
2 sticks of butter
1/2 tbsp Cream of Tartar

6 quarts of non-flavored popcorn
1/2 tsp baking soda

Instructions -
Mix above ingredients except popcorn and baking soda in a saucepan or pot large enough to accommodate a baking soda boil over.
Bring to a boil, then turn down heat to low and continue to cook for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and slowly add baking soda. Mix well.
Pour over popcorn and mix well.
Spray non-stick on baking sheet and add popcorn mixture evenly on sheet.
Bake at 250 degrees for 30 minutes, stirring every 7-10 minutes.
Remove from oven and pour onto wax paper on the counter top.
Break apart as it cools.
