I finally got up around 5 am. I started reading Andrew Britton "The American". Still tired, but not bad after the long previous day and the OC.
At 6am I went to get a coffee at Lei Petite Cafe based on website, but they were open until 6:30am. I ended up at Foodland, bought bad coffee (Kona - NOT) and worse donuts. Kathy finally got up around 7am (1pm TN time) and we laid around all morning and early afternoon – reading and napping. Around 2pm we finally took a walk around the property to the cliffs overlooking the ocean - steep and dangerous (although later another guest told us the snorkeling below was great and with good shoes, the trip down the cliff path wasn’t too dangerous). Afterwards we went to the resort pool for a while. Around 5 we drove down to the fish market at the Hanalei Dolphin restaurant and bought 2.6 pounds of Monchong "Sickle Pomfret" (a local fresh caught fish) at $17.99 a pound. We went back the Foodland and bought rice and a few things. For dinner I cooked the Monchong in a little butter with salt and pepper. It was delicious!!! We watched a little TV and was in the bed 8pm.
