Back to Hawaii Vacation Blog

Daily Blog -
Up at 5am, blogging and updating website. Breakfast of 3/4 a fresh pineapple and coffee. Kathy got up around 8am and had to do a little work, then went back to bed for a morning nap.

We did lay around for most of the day. We went to the pool for a while to cool off. Alan in pain from all the hiking. Add a few drinks...everything all better. Left at 5pm to go to Hanalei so Kathy could buy a shirt about Puff the Magic dragon (based on couple at Salt Pond Beach). Note - the actual song is about Honah Lee, not Hanalei. Took days to get the song out of my head. Kathy ended up buying a nice bright red swim shirt with Hanalei on the front. Now Alan will be able to find her even if he loses his glasses.

Drove to Ke'e Beach to watch the sunset at 6:50pm. Saw another sea cave, this one with water in the bottom and signs everywhere warning of falling rocks. Didn't go in scummy water. Headed to beach and watched the sun go down. Pretty! Back to the condo and packing for the early morning flight to the Big Island. Flight at 9:14am, so up at 5am, leave at 6am for 1 hour drive, drop off car, arrive at airport around 8am, hopefully have breakfast and relax waiting for the plane. Unfortunately we have only 23 minutes between flights, hopefully the trek between planes is short! Update in the morning. (Post note - Hawaiian airline gates are close together, so no problem with short layovers).
